“DREAMING WILL KEEP US AWAKE”
This work, which the author named “Fame 03, mangiarsi le parole” stands out for its worn-out effect gold finishing and a motto engraved in the centre “Dreaming will keep us awake”. The decorative plate expresses a contrast: “Fame” is meant in the English acceptation of the word (renown) in contract with its meaning in Italian (hunger); and there is the theme of the plate as a universal, interclass object, equally at home in luxury places and refugee camps”.
